Michael_Sanders for web Michael Sanders has been living and writing in Maine, USA for more than twenty-five years. His first two books about food, From Here, You Can’t See Paris and Families of the Vine, focused on the farmers, winemakers, and chefs of southwest France and were also published in the UK. Two recent cookbooks are Fresh From Maine: Recipes and Stories From the State’s Best Chefs and Drinking in Maine, a cocktail book. He has also written about food and travel for papers and magazines like The New York Times, Saveur, Afar, Gourmet, and in the UK The Ecologist and in Holland Bouillon. He is an avid forager of wild mushrooms and can often be found in woods when he is not in the kitchen.
