Iain Maitland is the author of the thrillers, Sweet William, Mr Todd’s Reckoning and The Scribbler. Mr Todd’s Reckoning is coming to TV as a six-part series courtesy of AbbottVision, the makers of Shameless and Cracker.
He is also the author of two memoirs, Dear Michael, Love Dad and Out Of The Madhouse. He is an ambassador for the teenage mental charity, Stem4 at stem4.org.uk
He currently has a new book, 3 Bluebell Lane, that’s good to go. He is working, through 2021, on a follow-up to The Scribbler, the First Georgia Carrie Mystery, and has been asked to write two sequels to Mr Todd’s Reckoning.
Martin Carr of Abbottvision: ‘Iain Maitland has pulled off a masterstroke. Combining the ingenuity of an Agatha Christie, the horror of Rillington Place and the wit of the best of British, the story keeps you on your toes, fills you with dread and makes you laugh out loud. We can’t wait to bring it to the screen and think the audience will delight in the rollercoaster ride.’
